Nederlands Play Bloxies

Privacy & cookies

Last updated: 31 October 2026. This is a translation; the Dutch version is the official one.

In short

  • We never ask for a last name, email address, photo or any other personal data of a child. Only for the world top 10 lists in the game can a child choose to enter a first name or nickname.
  • The game itself has no adverts, no trackers and no third-party cookies.
  • Game progress is stored only on your own device.
  • The information pages show adverts from Google, marked as child-directed. In Europe, Google asks for consent first.

Who are we?

Bloxies (https://bloxies.nl/) is a hobby project by Ferdy. Ferdy is responsible for processing personal data on this website. You can reach us at info@ferdykorpershoek.com.

The game

The game saves progress (coins, rescued Bloxies, settings, language and records) in your own browser's storage (localStorage). This data is not sent to us or anyone else. If the game is installed as an app on a phone, the browser also stores the game's files, so it works without internet. You can delete this by clearing the website data for Bloxies in your browser.

The fonts are on our own server. The game loads nothing from Google or other parties.

The world top 10 lists

Flappy Fish, the Drag Race, every times table and the whole adventure (who finishes it fastest) each have a top 10 that everyone can see. Anyone who gets a score or time that fits in a top 10 can enter a name. This is optional. We ask for a first name or nickname only (at most 12 characters, no last name) and a filter blocks bad words. On our server we store only that name, the score and the date, and only for as long as the score is in the top 10. To stop fake scores and spam, we keep the IP address for at most 10 minutes, and only encrypted (as a hash), never readable. Would you like a name removed? Email us at info@ferdykorpershoek.com and we will do it right away.

Hosting

The website is hosted by Hostinger. Like every web server, it briefly keeps technical data about who requests a page, such as the IP address, the time and the type of browser. This is needed to keep the website safe and available (legitimate interest). We do not use this data to track visitors. A data processing agreement is in place with Hostinger.

Adverts from Google

On the information pages (like this one) Google AdSense shows adverts. Google Ireland Limited is itself responsible for this. We have marked all ad requests as child-directed and ask for non-personalised adverts. Google then does not show adverts based on earlier browsing behaviour and does not use remarketing.

Google may still use cookies or similar techniques, for example to count how often an advert was shown and to prevent fraud. Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland therefore first get a consent message from Google (a Google-certified consent management platform). Without consent, Google only shows limited adverts.

In the Netherlands, children under 16 may not give consent themselves. The consent message is therefore meant for parents or carers. If you prefer no cookies, choose to decline: the information pages and the game work just the same.

You can always change your choice: .

Your rights

You have the right to ask which data we hold about you or your child, and to have it corrected or deleted. Apart from a self-chosen name in a top 10 we do not collect personal data, so there will usually be nothing to find with us. For data held by Google, go to myaccount.google.com. A question or complaint? Email us at info@ferdykorpershoek.com. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes

If anything changes in how Bloxies handles data, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
